Hello, Product Hunt fam👋 Therese and Sai here, makers of Spiti Screen Recorder. We are super excited to launch Spiti Screen Recorder to the PH community, a community that was the launch pad for Spiti Team Video Library. ❓ Why did we build a screen recorder? After we launched the Spiti Team Video Library over a year ago on Product Hunt, the response was overwhelming. Spiti video library solves for intuitive curation, organization, and easy access to team videos. However, it lacked the third fundamental pillar — a screen recorder. Our power users got back to us and said moving videos they recorded from one tool to another was time-consuming and a hassle. 💡 The Spiti Screen Recorder We built a native screen recorder to help our users quickly create a demo, explainer video, review video, or give feedback, making the recorded video reusable or embeddable in documents. All videos created with the Spiti Screen Recorder are available to view, share, and add to playlists from your Spiti Video Library. Once installed, the Spiti Screen Recorder will rest in your menu bar and can be summoned from any screen. Spiti Screen Recorder is currently available only for MacOS users. 🔋 A few primary capabilities: - Select any connected audio source, video source, and screen, or choose to record only your screen - Pause and resume your recording anytime - Retake if you fumble - Watch in your Spiti Library to add a Title, Description, and verify transcriptions before you share - Make the video unlisted, copy the share link, embed it in documents, or add it to playlists in your workspace ✨ New features in the Spiti team video Library since the last launch: - Playlist groups - Auto transcriptions on all videos - Spiti Connect: for controlled and secure cross-organizational collaboration - Workspace-wide search: summon search with ‘/’ - Improved video player layout Thank you for staying with us.
