I'm a solo dev from Melbourne and I built Spenno because I was frustrated with every expense tracker just telling me "you spent $85 at Woolworths", but never what I actually spent it on.
Spenno uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to scan your receipts and extract every single line item: - products
- prices
- quantities
- categories.
Not just the total. Over time it builds price history per product so you can compare stores and spot deals.
The thing I'm most proud of is the privacy approach: your receipt photos are processed entirely in memory and immediately discarded. No images are ever stored anywhere. Only the extracted text and numbers hit the database.
Tech stack for the curious: React Native + Expo, Hono on Cloudflare Workers, Supabase, Claude API for vision extraction, RevenueCat for subscriptions.
