Spendlens
Privacy first. Your finance. Your data. Your money in focus.
Zero-knowledge sharing (Aperture): Share your financial data with a partner or advisor through E2E encryption (P256 ECDH + AES-256-GCM). Our servers store only ciphertext. We literally cannot read your shared data. Forecaster: See where your budget will land at end-of-month with confidence intervals and fan charts. The model picks ARIMA or Holt-Winters automatically based on your spending patterns. Truly global: 17 languages. 50 currencies with live conversion rates. Multi-currency accounts.
Hi everyone! I’m Roberto, the maker of Spendlens.
I started building Spendlens because I was frustrated with a simple contradiction: the apps that gave me the best financial insights were also the ones that knew the most about my money. I wanted the analytics without the surveillance. But I also wanted to enable the possibility to track my expenses across my bank accounts from different countries and different currencies. No app currently has a graceful way to solve this problem, nor has the dashboards insightful or delightful enough to induce data-driven change in my experience.
So I focused on having every AI and ML model in Spendlens run locally on your device. The neural network that categorizes your spending? On-device. The ARIMA or Holt-Winters time-series model that forecasts your budget? On-device. The OCR that reads your receipts? Processed in memory and never saved.
The feature I’m most proud of is Aperture, our encrypted sharing system. My spouse and I manage our finances together, and I wanted a way to share, consolidate and analyze our financial data without a middleman being able to read it or having to place all our accounts in one device. Aperture uses P256 ECDH key agreement and AES-256-GCM encryption, so our servers only ever see ciphertext to share and sync data.
I'm initially planning on launching the app for iOS globally in 17 languages and 50 currencies. Whether you’re budgeting in yen, tracking investments in euros, or scanning receipts in Portuguese, Spendlens works for you.
Currently, automated bank sync only works in the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe (17+ countries, including): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
I’m here all day to answer questions. What would you want to see in a privacy-first finance app? I'll be looking for anyone who is interested in testing on the beta launch.
The on-device ML approach is genuinely impressive—most finance apps take the easy route and centralize everything server-side. The multi-currency, multi-bank consolidation without surveillance is a real gap you're filling, and Aperture sounds like a thoughtful solution for couples who want privacy without friction.

Who hunted Spendlens?
Spendlens was hunted by Roberto Trevino. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
