I'm the maker of SpeedSkip, and I'm pumped to finally share this with you.
The idea started from pure frustration. I watch a lot of YouTube — tutorials,
podcasts, interviews — and the signal-to-noise ratio is brutal. I'd spend 40
minutes on a video that had maybe 8 minutes of content I actually cared about.
I built SpeedSkip so the AI does the filtering for me. You open a video, pick a
mode (or let AI decide), and it analyzes the transcript and jumps you straight
to the valuable parts. You can also just chat with the video — "what was the
main argument in minute 12?" — and it answers instantly.

Tried this on a cooking video and it skipped past a long kitchen store pitch mid-recipe without me asking, which was honestly kind of delightful. Wonder how it handles dense interview clips though.
Finally a use for AI I can get behind. The sponsor skip alone saved me during a long tutorial, though I wish the playback jumped a bit smoother.
