Spectral Field
Turn any track into a one-of-a-kind artwork, drawn live.
Most music visualisers just react to volume in real time — nothing to keep once the song ends. Spectral Field is different: it analyses the whole track's audio to generate one fixed, deterministic artwork — same track, same piece, every time. It runs entirely in your browser (audio never uploaded), and any piece exports as a high-res print or a pen-plotter-ready SVG. Built as a personal project by a musician who wanted his own tracks to have a visual identity — no existing tool did quite this.
Hey everyone 👋 I'm Rob — I run The FWA and make music as Rob FWA. I built Spectral Field because I wanted my own tracks to have a visual identity, and nothing out there did it. Drop in any track and it draws a one-of-a-kind artwork from the audio itself — entirely in your browser, nothing uploaded.
Bring your own track and let me know what it makes you! Happy to answer anything.
How does it handle tracks that are really long or shift genres halfway through — does the artwork still feel cohesive or does it get messy trying to summarize too much at once?
How does it handle tracks that are heavily dynamic or have lots of silence — does the artwork end up feeling sparse, or does it pull from the quieter sections to fill it out?

Who hunted Spectral Field?
Spectral Field was hunted by Rob Ford. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
