At every startup I worked at, I was the engineer people came to with the same three questions: How does this work? What changed? Is this supposed to happen?
The answer was always sitting in the code, in a language most of the company couldn't read. I spent years being the translation layer and never stopped finding it absurd.

So I built Specsight.
It tracks your product as it evolves, straight from the source code. It shows what features exist, how they behave, how they connect, and what changed with every release, all in plain product language.

@olapietka you mentioned each team getting its own digest, sales with "what you can sell this week". Curious how you'll know it landed: will people be able to rate an update as useful or not, so it learns what each role actually cares about?
Well done Ola! 🔥 We ship fast with AI as well - so we do know keeping everyone on the same page about actual changes is a constant battle. One thing I enjoy most is that it comes straight from the code, i.e. nobody has to write anything right? Just to clarify, does it work for teams with several products? Is it rather one product per setup?
This is a fantastic idea! Even before AI, teams often weren't made aware of changes, and I would have to spend time out of my day explaining them individually.
The living map idea really clicks for me — sales demoing what the product actually does today, not last month, is a real pain point. One question: when a feature is merged but behind a flag or only partially shipped, does the map mark it differently from a fully live feature, or do they show up the same way?
Being the translation layer is the most of my week as a solo dev. The people asking are merchants, plus the AI agents that answer their customers. A lot of our product logic lives in n8n workflows instead of normal code. Does Specsight read workflow JSON committed to the repo, or only source files it can parse as code?

A decent chunk of our work is to replace legacy applications. Video recordings of the person using the appliction is usually used as on of the inputs while speccing the new project. Any chance your application can intelligently ingest the video to speed up the requirement and process mapping?
congrats on the launch Ola. the plain language map is the part id use most. sales and support usually hear about a change from an angry customer, not from the release notes. how do you decide what counts as a change worth showing them and what is just engineering noise?
@olapietka is there an integration with PostHog? I see this as the perfect companion for it!
A living map of what the product actually does is the fix for that awkward moment when support answers a question from last quarter, and turning each code change into a release note for sales is genuinely useful.
