SparkLock turns schoolwork and daily routines into interactive quests for kids in grades 1–8 with ADHD and learning differences. Unlike traditional study tools that rely on drill-and-kill quizzes, SparkLock pairs core subjects with essential life skills—from math and reading to task sequencing and focus habits. It adapts difficulty to each learner, turning homework battles into genuine progress across school and everyday life.

The idea for this app actually started right at our kitchen table. My daughter has ADHD, and for a long time, standard schoolwork meant evening stress, frustration, and a lot of tears—for both of us. One night after a particularly rough homework session, my husband turned to me and said, "There has to be a better way to do this. What if learning actually felt like something she wanted to engage with, instead of a battle?" That simple question changed everything. We realized that traditional educational apps were mostly built for neurotypical learning patterns—relying on repetitive drills that quickly lose a neurodivergent kid's interest. Worse, they completely ignored the everyday executive functioning challenges that kids with ADHD face alongside their schoolwork. When I started building SparkLock, my initial goal was just to make school subjects more engaging for grades 1–8. But as we tested early versions with real families, my approach shifted significantly. We saw that academics were only half the equation. Parents were struggling just as much with daily routines, task management, and self-advocacy. So, SparkLock evolved into something bigger: a gamified space that weaves core academics (like math and reading) together with essential life skills. Instead of pushing kids through rigid quizzes, the app adapts to how their minds naturally operate—turning daily hurdles into genuine confidence, both in school and at home. I’d love for you to check out SparkLock and share your feedback. Whether you're a parent, educator, or neurodivergent adult, your thoughts mean the world to us as we keep improving the experience for these kids!

Who hunted SparkLock?

SparkLock was hunted by CS Fiskus. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
