A tiny open-source macOS app that lets you take screenshots by double-tapping your MacBook. It uses the Apple Silicon accelerometer, runs locally, and lives in your menu bar.
I built Spankshot: a tiny macOS app that takes a screenshot when you double-tap your MacBook. It's a fork of the original repository that initially introduced spanking detection using the accelerometers in MacBook.
How it works: - listens to the MacBook accelerometer - detects two quick taps - triggers a screenshot - runs locally as a menu-bar app
Privacy: - open source - no cloud - no uploads - no telemetry - requires normal macOS screen recording permission
I don't intend this to be useful (although it can when both of your hands are busy, you can hit the table it will still detect), so I'm just posting it to see what happens.
