Hi there Product Hunters, Rick here! I’m delighted to share with everyone an exciting new way to buy and manage domains, websites and digital products. With Spaceship, we have created a smart and powerful new platform that allows any customer to find, purchase, connect and manage digital products in a completely new and seamless way. We aim to empower our customers to get online easier and faster than ever before, by managing the inherent complexities that are usually associated with digital products. Things like setting up DNS, managing subscriptions, not being able to easily switch between products and add-ons are only some of the core issues that many customers face today. Through our smart use of technology we will solve these problems by managing the complexities in the background and we will match those solutions to an intuitive design and world-class user experience to effectively simplify the entire customer journey and flow. This new platform will be at the forefront of connecting our customers to any digital product by bringing them together in a way that almost anyone can understand, breaking down entry barriers for the less tech-savvy, and in the process will redefine what seamless means within our industry and beyond. We’d love to see you onboard, so come and give us a try. All of our domains are available at low introductory prices, as are our cloud-based web hosting and email plans. A word on the future. Our hard work doesn’t stop here. In fact, we’re still very much in creator/build mode. After I announced early beta access to Spaceship at the end of last year, I'm really pleased to now unveil this next 'open beta' version of Spaceship to you here on PH. What does 'open beta' mean? Basically we continue to work on perfecting Spaceship and adding exciting enhancements and products to it, so that's something to bear in mind with any feedback you may have for us. As we love to be super transparent, we also have a public roadmap of upcoming features and products on the website here: https://www.spaceship.com/roadmap/. So stay tuned. This is going to be an exciting ride! P.S. An enormous thank you to @maccaw for hunting us!

It's great to see an initiative like this from Namecheap. I am a domainer, perhaps better described as a domain addict, tending to buy domains for every seemingly grand idea I get, which adds up to quite a few, ongoing. I mainly use Namecheap for my domain purchases, but am quite unhappy with the buying experience and have been for quite a while. Namecheap.com is fairly buggy, for instance often showing premium domains at normal/hand-reg prices and loads of failed orders due to it. For that reason I have seriously considered moving all my domains away from Namecheap, since quite a bit of time is wasted at my end due to these bugs. What I am wondering is: Are there any plans to making it easier for existing Namecheap customers to transition to Spaceship without having to place orders for transfers one-by-one? Meaning a bulk transfer option of sorts. That would make the switch to Spaceship (vs. a switch to a Namecheap competitor) far more appealing and Namecheap would keep the business, so to speak, instead of loosing it. EDIT: Just to be clear, I am aware of the bulk transfer functionality. It is, however, very tedious and time consuming to unlock many domains, fetching auth codes from emails, create a spreadsheet/text file with the domain names + auth codes, etc. An easy way to transition to Spaceship from Namecheap would help keep domainers with many domains @ Namecheap, albeit via Spaceship.

Love the look and feel of the site, is there a video on how hosting/sites work? can't find anything except a GIF demo on the site.

Nice product, a great choice for establishing a web presence and domain investing. Keep pushing forward!

A game-changer in managing domains, websites, and digital products - paving the way for a seamless and futuristic approach to streamlined management.

Loving the UI and UX, so easy compared to all other domain/hosting providers. I really like the service of bringing domain owners to the negotiation, we've been looking for this kind of solution for a while. Everywhere else they charge you for it, I'm glad to see that you just charge for your product and get rid of the service-led revenue side.

Hey, congratulations on the launch! How is your product different from what Google offers in this field?

Very neat & clean website. Loved it. Congratulations on the launch @rick_kirkendall

So, this isn't really feedback on the product, but more feedback on how you've pitched the product, which I think needs improving. Happy to chat with you about that. First question about this product would be, what problem does it solve? Don't get me wrong, I want to support your platform, but to do that, I need to see that it is solving user pain. The description doesn't really drive home what pain this product is relieving. I only give myself about 10-15 mins a day on PH, so I usually look for a really compelling narrative about the time saved/cost saved/lives saved, etc for your users. I've worked at three accelerator programs across 10 years of helping founders, including delivering pitches to investors and to customers. So I feel I have some valid experience to stand on saying this, and its also said in the name of making your product more compelling to try out.

@rick_kirkendall I want to connect you on LinkedIn, Could you accept that? I have some insights to share with you about ProductHunt. Really Beneficial...

Can't wait to explore the universe with Spaceship! What features do you think will make this platform truly stand out from the competition?

I went to the site and thought, wow, beautiful; I scrolled through and saw all the services and thought this could be cool, then got to the footer and saw Namecheap... if it's run like Namecheap, expect the worst service—plain and simple a bad company. Let's hope a different group of individuals are at the helm of this project.
