SOV Network
One real person, one account: money, messages and a vote
SOV Network (Self-Owned Value) is an open-source network where each real person holds exactly one account. You hold your own money, send end-to-end encrypted messages without a phone number, and get one vote on the network's rules. Enrolment is a palm scan and a live face check on your own phone. No photo is ever stored or sent. It is not a blockchain and there is nothing to buy. You join on an Android phone; Windows, macOS and Linux apps restore your wallet and run a node.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm one of the developers. We built SOV Network (Self-Owned Value) because every "one person, one account" system we looked at asked for something we didn't want to give: a phone number, a government ID upload, or a company's database of faces. On SOV you prove you are a unique human with a palm scan and a live face check on your own phone. No picture ever leaves it; the network keeps only a protected template and refuses a second account for the same person.
It is live and working: enrolment, signed payments, a double-spend refused by the nodes, encrypted messaging, the exchange, the Vault and votes were all run end to end on the live network. It is not a blockchain, and there has been no independent security audit yet. Next on the roadmap: liveness verified by the nodes as well as the app, and the template key split across independent operators.
