If you keep a sourdough starter, you know the feeling: it is day 4, the bubbling slowed down, and you are suddenly convinced you killed it. Every tool out there treats a starter like a row in a spreadsheet, so you are left guessing what the numbers mean and remembering to feed it on your own.
Sourdough Tracker gives each starter one continuous journal (feeds, bakes, observations, milestones, photos) and a friendly character that reads its health back to you across 42 states. So "did I kill it?" becomes a named state with a way forward. Feed reminders arrive before it is due, an establishing mode walks you through the nervous first week, and you can share a single starter's journal with a co-baker without exposing the rest of your kitchen.
The basics are genuinely free (no paywall on the feed log, reminders, or character), it is hosted in Germany with no third-party trackers and no AI training on your data, and you can export or delete everything yourself.
