Problem ☝️
As kids, we always knew that our parents would give us support, wipe our tears, and handle all our problems with ease. However, when we become parents ourselves, we realize, that knowledge and confidence won’t appear all of a sudden.
🤱 From the first months of pregnancy, we take responsibility for the life of a little human, who is fully dependent on us, manage relationships with the partner, and cope with personal fears and concerns.
Working with a certified doula and psychologist can give you the strength to cope with concerns and support your mental well-being, but there are two issues:
💸It’s expensive. A one-hour session with a psychologist starts from $100-200 per hour.

My story 👩🏻
In my life, there was also an episode when I desperately needed mental health support. Although I’m a certified doula and an Erickson coach myself, it didn’t help me to avoid postpartum depression after my second child was born. It was only thanks to my best friend and her mother, that I managed to come through. It took me more than a year to get back to normal. That’s why Soula is a very personal project for me, sharing love and empathy.

Would this product be safe and approved to use with American health insurance or Medicaid? We have explored using AI in our product before, but have never trusted AI message construction or NLPs with less than 3-5 years of training data (supervised or unsupervised) to accurately and safely handle the many very dangerous factors around the pregnancy journey. Sadly, the US has the highest maternal mortality rate in the developed world. So a lot's at stake.
