Sortefi started from a frustration I had almost every day.
Whenever I wanted to screen the market for a new idea, I'd end up spending more time figuring out the screener than actually analyzing the results. Every platform expects you to know where every filter lives, how they're combined, and what the exact syntax is.
It felt backwards.
AI can write code, summarize research papers, and answer complex questions, so why can't it understand something as simple as:
"Show me crypto coins inside the H6 Ichimoku cloud with cloud settings 20,60,120,26."
or
"Find S&P 500 stocks with RSI above 65 that are trading above the 200 EMA."
These example filters even though are basic in nature is what lead to the idea that became Sortefi.
Instead of clicking through dozens of filters, you just describe what you're looking for in plain English, and Sortefi builds a TradingView-ready watchlist in seconds.
We've focused on making it useful rather than flashy. It understands technical indicators, price action, candlestick patterns, volume, volatility, and more—and we're adding new capabilities based on user feedback.

How does the AI actually interpret trickier conditions like "breakout with volume confirmation" or do I need to keep my prompt pretty literal for it to get things right?
Interesting! A market screener that makes custom code and runs on it live market price and fundamental data.
Are there perhaps any limitations to the depth and breadth of the markets this can scan?
Sounds good, I’ve been using LLMs to trade stocks for months and it’s works well. Looking forward to trying this and seeing if it can outperform.
