Not all data can be managed through automation. Some data is so valuable it still needs manual review and approval every time it changes. Sort is a platform that makes these manual data changes easy, efficient, and transparent.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
We’re thrilled to introduce Sort, a platform built to solve the headache of manual data changes.
As founders and developers, we constantly hear about the struggles of managing high-value data that’s too sensitive or complex to automate. From updating customer records to tweaking operational metrics, these changes often fall into a chaotic, untraceable process.
With Sort, we’ve brought the structure and transparency of GitHub workflows to data management:
- 🌟 Empower Teams: Let your front-line staff propose changes directly in natural language.
- ⚡ Efficiency for Admins: One-click approvals mean no more SQL or custom tooling.
- 🔒 Full Accountability: Every change is logged for easy auditing and peace of mind.
We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback, checkout our Sort playground here: https://sort.xyz/orgs/sort/datab...
Drop a comment, ask questions, or share how Sort could make your life easier. Let’s build better data workflows together! 🚀
Your focus on simplifying critical manual data processes is impressive and much needed!
Sort could streamline my manual data reviews significantly. How do you envision this evolving with more automation in the future?
Hey Jason Are there plans to expand the audit trail or user permissions for more granular control?
@jason_zucchetto @lifeiscontent @steamtank @aaron_heckmann Congratulations on launching on PH. Sort has a strong value prop. Sharing with my product & engg teams to check it out. Upvoted!
Hi Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m Aaron, a Software Engineer at Sort, and I’m thrilled to introduce something our small but mighty team has been building over the past year. Alongside our founders, Jason, Aaron, and Thomas, we’ve created a tool that’s set to revolutionize how teams collaborate around data.
A Personal Passion Project
One feature I’m particularly proud of is the Data Explorer. Over the last two months, I dedicated myself to building this tool because I couldn’t find a solution that met our needs—especially for mobile usability. As someone passionate about mobile-first design, I was frustrated by the lack of tools that handled resizing columns and interacting with data tables on smaller screens. So, I built a solution that’s not only powerful but also fully optimized for mobile. It’s been a labor of love, and I’m grateful to the team for supporting this vision.
Why Sort Stands Out
Sort is like GitHub for data, but with unique features that make it a game-changer:
Collaborative Data Workflows: Create issues, submit change requests, and manage data collaboratively with your team.
AI-Powered Enhancements: Automate tasks with AI—like clicking “Describe Changes” here and instructing Sort to “Set all feedback to positive.”
Mobile-First Design: Built for seamless mobile interactions, including resizing columns and navigating data tables effortlessly.

The Tools That Made It Possible
We couldn’t have built Sort without these incredible tools:
Remix: For building dynamic, server-rendered apps.
Storybook: For designing and testing UI components in isolation.
Remix Auth: For simplifying authentication and keeping data secure.
Vercel: For seamless deployment and hosting.
Conform: For making form handling and validation a joy.
Tailwind: For crafting a beautiful, responsive UI with minimal friction.
A huge shoutout to their creators and communities for making these tools available!
We’d Love Your Feedback
We’re just getting started, and your input would mean the world to us. Sign up, explore Sort, and let us know what you think! While our example databases are a great way to see Sort in action, the full product offers even more functionality to supercharge your data workflows.

Thank you to the Product Hunt community for checking us out. Your support and feedback inspire us to keep building the best tool for data collaboration. Let’s make managing data as seamless as managing code!
Cheers,
Aaron
Hey Jason - congrats on the launch! What target user do you have in mind for this product? What's the next big feature you're working on?
it seems like great for my team! I often struggle with getting the right approvals before making sensitive data changes
This makes a huge amount of sense & we've often found this with CRANQ when we've been handling large data sets - Good on you Jason & team I think this is going to work to help a lot of people.
Best of luck with the launch!
