SonaVoice
Voice typing for Windows that drops clean text into any app
Hey everyone, I'm the maker of SonaVoice.
I built it because every dictation tool I tried on Windows got in the way.
There was a wake word to remember, or a window to manage, or text that came out
so messy I spent longer fixing it than just typing.
SonaVoice is the opposite of that. You hold Right Ctrl, talk, and let go.
Clean, punctuated text lands in whatever app your cursor is already in, whether
that's Slack, your editor, an email, or a browser field. No window, no per-app
plugins. It also reads the context, so it stays lowercase and loose in chat but
writes full sentences in email, and you can teach it words like "kubectl" or a
coworker's name so they stop coming out wrong.
The decision I'm most attached to: it doesn't keep your audio. The recording is
transcribed and discarded, and your history stays on your device, not on my
servers. A tool that hears everything shouldn't also hoard it.
Honest status: it's Windows only right now (Mac and iOS are next), and it's
early, so you'll find rough edges. The free plan is 2,500 words a month, no card.
I'd really like feedback, especially the "this annoyed me" kind. I'll be here
all day to answer anything.
