It keeps the experience simple, with straightforward controls and no unnecessary distractions. The site also includes clear how-to-play guides and strategy articles covering rules, scoring, tactics and game variations, making classic card games easy to play, learn and enjoy.
I started building Solitaire Arcade as a way to learn web development by creating something I would actually use myself. I’m still very much a novice, so there has been a lot of trial and error along the way, but I’ve really enjoyed turning classic card games into something playable in the browser.
What started with Solitaire has grown into a collection including FreeCell, Spider, TriPeaks, Hearts and Spades, along with guides and strategy content for each game.
There’s still plenty I want to improve and build, but I’m genuinely proud to have reached the point where people can actually use and enjoy it. I’d love to hear any feedback.
