Solar lets small teams collaborate with AI agents to build and deploy production apps in minutes. Like Figma, but no mockups — just real software with live data and backend functionality, built by our full-stack AI agent, powered by your imagination.
I'm John, CTO at Lumenary. Today, we’re so excited to launch Solar: an infinite canvas for vibe-coding production apps.
My co-founders—Vivek Hazari, Daniel DiPietro, and Ziray Hao—and I built Solar during Y Combinator after living in a hospital for nearly two months.
What began as an internal tool to help healthcare executives improve care delivery with AI has evolved into a platform that domain experts across industries use daily.
During our first beta, teams built things we didn't think were possible, including:
📈 Trading bot armies that execute complex market strategies on the stock market.
Used Solar to build a feature we said we’d do “next quarter.” Solar built it in an afternoon. I am still gonna work the weekend just on something else.
Simple statement: " Get things done with AI"
Congrats on your launch
This looked amazing, however, as a student working part time, the $30 USD (almost $50 in my currency) per month is a bit heavy to fork out. Totally understand AI is heavy to run and therefore hosting Solar likely isn't cheap either, but I was wondering if there might be a more affordable student option in the future? I'd really love to support and use it more consistently, but at the moment, the price is just a little out of reach.
This is revolutionary! The way it transforms imagination directly into live, functional applications is unlike anything I've seen😍
Nice product! How do you deal with interaction and business logic e.g. to implement infinite scroll behavior etc?
Great idea! We're big believers in the infinite canvas approach, and it's interesting to see this concept applied to software development. The vision of building production apps directly on a canvas makes a lot of sense conceptually.
Looking forward to testing this out for some of our tasks. The infinite canvas format definitely has potential for reimagining how we work with code. Nice work on the launch!
I've tried all the vibe coding apps and I just LOVE the approach you took with this one. Have been using it all day -- really dig the UX and haven't had any errors (can't say that about a lot of the vibe IDEs). Well done.
This is so fricking impressive! Solar built a full-stack staff planning tool: with bill profiles, projects, et al, in one fell swoop. It was so interesting to see it pop open a todo.md file, and start to build. I was also impressed that it had both server and frontend logs, so it really just fixed things before I even saw any errors.
You guys have built a productivity tool that feels like a game. Great work
This app looks truly impressive—congratulations on the successful launch! Looking forward to seeing more innovation and great results from your team
Great idea and something I have been waiting for, like desert waiting for rain. Hope this will work out for you. Some questions:
What programming language does the AI build on?
Do you support next.js and node.js
What LLM models are you using?
What database type is allowed on the platform?
How does the credit system works?
