SoftHabits is the habit app that refuses to use streaks — not just in the UI, in the data layer. Swipe right on what you did. Missed days are data, not failure. The app notices patterns across your behaviors and tells you what it sees without scoring you. Built on self-compassion. For people who've bounced off habit apps that made missing one day feel like an accusation
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built SoftHabits because I kept asking myself a question that habit apps don't answer: what if a habit tracker helped you figure out what actually works for you, instead of just rewarding you for hitting checkboxes?
Most habit apps are built around streaks. Streaks reward consistency, but they don't tell you anything. You hit Day 100 on a habit that maybe wasn't even working for you; you just kept doing it.
SoftHabits is built on:
- Both "yes" and "no" are data.
Swipe right when you did the thing. Swipe left when you didn't, and tell the app why. The "no" days aren't failures to hide; they're the most interesting data you have. Patterns show up in why you didn't, not just whether you did.
- No streaks. Anywhere.
Not in the UI, not in the data layer. Missing a day doesn't undo anything because there's nothing to undo. The app watches for patterns across your behaviors, not scoring you against a chain.
SoftHabits is live on the App Store. V1 is out now; V2 will go deeper on goal → habit reverse-engineering.
