I built sno.cam, a website that brings mountain cameras together with a map and saved-image history. It started with Australian snow cameras and now includes 19 countries, including Japan, New Zealand, the US, Canada and the European Alps. You can find a camera on the map, check the latest available image and move back through saved frames where that camera has an archive. A useful example is opening an earlier daytime image when the latest view is dark, or following changes in snow cover and visibility through the day. The available history varies by camera. I'd appreciate feedback on the first visit: can you find a mountain you care about, and is it clear how to open its history? Explore the map: https://sno.cam/map

Who hunted sno.cam?

sno.cam was hunted by Darcy O'Connor. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
