Snitch shows every outbound connection your Mac makes, in real time — live map, per-app attribution, offline GeoIP. One idle hour: 347 servers across ~17 companies (158 Google's). Zero telemetry, loopback-only API, AGPL-3.0, EN/FR. Little Snitch blocks; Wireshark dumps packets; Snitch shows the map.

Top comment

I built Snitch after wondering what my Mac was actually talking to. One idle hour of capture: 347 servers, ~17 companies, 158 Google IPs alone. Everything stays 100% local — even geolocation is offline, so the tool itself makes zero network calls. Happy to answer questions about the capture pipeline (libpcap → FastAPI → D3) or the zero-telemetry design!

Who hunted Snitch?

Snitch was hunted by aiXis. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
