Hi Product Hunters 👋 We're super excited to be launching Snaplet Seed on PH today!
Snaplet was founded in 2022 by Peter Pistorius, co-creator of RedwoodJS. For years, Peter experienced the frustration of not having good data to code against. His insight was that developers are at their best when they focus on what they’re best at: coding, not wasting time on tedious tasks like writing and maintaining seed scripts, or messing with production dumps. That's why he formed Snaplet, and collectively, our vision is to help developers get back into flow by giving them production-like data they can code against, in a snap!
With our new tool Snaplet Seed, we intend to:

This seems very useful. Generating scripts to populate databases can really take up a lot of time, particularly when you're aiming for data that appears realistic. Good work!

Just recently manually filling the DB on staging environment (it was not so pleasurable process), i should have found the product like this a bit earlier 😃. Btw, it's good to see such extensive docs, especially native integration with Prisma. Good work. Congrats on the release!
I love snaplet. Being able to code against production like data is so helpful to catch errors and issues earlier in the value chain creation, and for once it's really well made. Kudos for the great integrations in a modern developer toolchain with world class support for TS and many cool dbs
