Turn your handwriting into a font you can type with. Print one template, fill it in, and take one photo. SnapFont builds a TrueType font and reveals your own handwriting before asking you to create an account. Preview it free, then use Pro to export a TTF or follow guided installation on iPhone and iPad. Use your font in apps that support custom fonts.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Akhil, a student building SnapFont on my own.
My earlier handwriting app asked people to photograph more than sixty individual characters. I wanted to make that process simpler: fill in one printed sheet, take one photo, and see your handwriting become a font.
The part I care about most is the reveal. Your name appears in the font you just made before you're asked to create an account. I wanted you to experience the result first.
Getting there meant working through one problem at a time: simplifying the template to 72 characters, improving how the app separates ink from the page, and making font installation easier to follow.
Your first font and in-app preview are free. Pro adds TTF export and guided installation on iPhone and iPad. Exported fonts can be used in apps that support custom fonts; compatibility depends on the app and platform.
I built SnapFont in public for RevenueCat Shipaton, sharing both the progress and the frustrating parts along the way. The goal is simple: make digital writing feel a little more like yours.
What would you make with your own handwriting font, and which app would you want to use it in first?
