I built smartsh!t because I got tired of fighting complex formulas and looking up syntax just to put together a simple budget, invoice, or tracker.
If you've ever spent 20 minutes debugging a broken VLOOKUP or trying to figure out why a SUM range skipped a row, this is for you. You just type what you want in plain English, and it builds or edits real cells, charts, and formulas—complete with an interactive diff preview so you always approve changes before they happen.
What makes it click for daily use:
Local-first privacy: Your workbook stays right in your browser by default, and the local formula auditor catches silent errors (like range gaps and outliers) instantly with zero latency.
A full spreadsheet: It's not just a chat window—you get charts, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and full Excel/CSV import and export.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): You can easily hook up your own OpenRouter, Groq, or OpenAI key.
It's free forever to start, and I'd love to hear what you think! Have you run into similar formula headaches, or what templates would you want to see added next? Let me know!
