A New Chapter for Private Writing
Standard Notes has long been the gold standard for secure, encrypted note-taking. Its commitment to privacy and simplicity has built a loyal community of thinkers, writers, and creators who refuse to compromise on data security.
Why I Built This Plugin
Recently, the announcement regarding the shutdown of the Listed blogging platform on December 31, 2026, sparked a realization:
We need a sustainable, private alternative that keeps our voices alive within the ecosystem we trust.
I didn't want to migrate to centralized platforms that mine our data or sell our attention. I wanted to extend Standard Notes itself keeping our writing, our ideas, and our identity within the encrypted walls we've already built.
Meet Smart Writer
Smart Writer is not just an extension; it is a complete AI-powered workflow integrated directly into your notes. It brings the power of modern artificial intelligence without sacrificing the privacy principles you love.
Key Principles:
Zero-Log Architecture: Unlike mainstream AI services, our selected providers respect your privacy. We choose partners who do not train on your data and keep no logs of your prompts or outputs.
End-to-End Integrity: Your notes remain encrypted. The AI operates locally where possible, or through secure, ephemeral channels that never store your content permanently.
Powerful Capabilities: From generating blog posts and refining drafts to making structured decisions with Nyra AI, you now have a personal assistant that works for you, not against your privacy.
What You Can Do Now
With Smart Writer, you can:
Publish directly from Standard Notes to your personal blog.
Refine your thinking with AI tools that understand context without storing your history.
Make data-driven decisions using Nyra's structured decision-making engine.
Own your content completely, hosted on your own terms.
Join the Movement
The shutdown of Listed is not the end of private blogging it is an opportunity to build something better. Something that belongs to us.
Install the plugin, activate your license, and start writing the future of private thought.
