SMART MOSAIC for Mac
Hide faces and license plates in videos, right on your Mac
SMART MOSAIC for Mac automatically detects and tracks faces and license plates in videos, applying adjustable mosaic masks before you share. Processing happens on your Mac; your videos are not uploaded. Add manual tracking boxes or keep selected people visible, and export with the original audio. Free exports support videos up to 60 seconds with a watermark. Pro removes the time limit and watermark. No ads or account required.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m Takahiro, the maker of SMART MOSAIC.
The Mac version is now available on the App Store. I built it to make it easier to share videos without exposing people’s faces or vehicle license plates.
Choose a video, enable automatic face or license plate detection, adjust the mosaic strength, and export. You can also draw manual tracking boxes and choose people to keep visible. Video processing stays on your Mac.
The free version exports videos up to one minute with a watermark. Pro removes the duration limit and watermark; both Mac versions are ad-free.
Automatic detection can miss small, blurred, occluded, or fast-moving subjects, so please check the exported video before sharing. High-resolution videos with many people can take longer to process.
I’d love to hear how this fits your workflow and which controls would help you most!
