I'm Raphaël, a French CTO who tinkers with hardware at night. Smart Led Messenger started as a fun ESP32 project: I wanted a screen at home showing the time, weather, and my own messages — without a phone app or a cloud subscription.
Then MCP came along and changed everything. I added an MCP server, and now I just tell Claude "display 'welcome home' on the LED sign" and it happens. Honestly, the first time it worked felt like magic.
Everything is controllable three ways: web portal, REST API (great for home automation), and AI via MCP.
