We support 130+ customers with automating their document-heavy work. We have found many of our customers want to turn their files into standard names - e.g. a bank statement from a customer might be named “mypdf_12309813208.pdf”, but they want it to be something like “WellsFargo_BusinessAccount_1234_jan_2024.pdf”.
We have had a huge amount of interest in this from existing customers so wanted to release it to the world!
What documents are you trying to programmatically rename?
Tool looks promising and valuable. I'm curious about any potential security risks when allowing AI to analyze files, or if it's limited to just file renaming capabilities?
Looks useful for maintaining digital archives.
Can the system suggest naming conventions based on the content it identifies, or does it need explicit instructions for every file type?
Great use case for AI! Bulk file renaming is a meticulous and tedious job for us humans but AI can do it so much faster. This is a product that totally makes sense. Congrats on the launch @Heron Data Team!
Why did you focused on financial/compliance documents only considering that there are several internal documents that have the same issue?
Could you consider adding a feature that also allows for tagging documents with certain keywords like 'Paid' or 'Pending' for further organization?
A very useful tool. For me, it would be even better if it could support renaming files in my Dropbox. Congrats on the launch!
The idea of parsing and validating structured data is amazing. Being able to extract details like account numbers or business names without doing it manually?
@brian_heron Congrats to your launch! That's a very useful product! Love it!
Great product! Using it to rename hundreds of invoices seems like a great choice. I’d also like to know if it can programmatically rename images as well.
