Over the last few months I've noticed more and more websites being shipped almost entirely with AI. Some are excellent. Others still have obvious AI fingerprints like generic copy, leftover prompts, repetitive sections, and other "slop."
I built Slopdar as a fun side project to answer one simple question:
Is this website genuinely crafted, or mostly AI-generated?
Just enter a URL and Slopdar analyzes dozens of signals to generate a Slop Score. It's not trying to shame AI usage. I use AI every day myself. The goal is simply to spot websites that were generated with little human refinement.

love that it shows the receipts instead of just a number. nothing kills credibility faster than a black-box score with no evidence behind it.
Really interesting product. I keep noticing this kind of AI slop everywhere now.
On one hand, if a website does its job, maybe it doesn’t always matter how it was made. But on the other hand, when you work with contractors or agencies, knowing whether something was genuinely crafted or mostly generated can definitely affect how you evaluate the work.
I tested the website for a product we’re about to launch, and Slopdar said it was human-made. Small win 😄 We did put a lot of human thought and care into it.

I just tried it 😄 The idea is so funny, but the slop scores are shockingly accurate. Good way to test whether the writing is generated by AI or actually written by hand. Nice work!
