Hey everyone 👋
I built SlideSource because I create a lot of short-form content on my phone, and honestly, remembering scripts while recording was always frustrating.
Most teleprompter apps either:
• force you to record inside their own camera
• don’t work over other apps
• or feel too cluttered and slow
I wanted something much simpler:
👉 Paste your script
👉 Create a floating window
👉 Read while recording anywhere
So I built a floating teleprompter overlay for Android that works on top of any app — camera, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
You can resize it, move it around, play/pause scrolling, and customize text size & speed.
One thing that evolved during development was the UI itself. Initially I tried adding too many controls, but eventually realized creators just want something fast, distraction-free, and easy to use while recording.
