A free menu bar app that turns your MacBook's hidden motion sensor into a "next reel" button. Tap the case or the desk - SlapScroll skips the TikTok, Reel or Short in your browser. No mic, no tracking.
I'm Oskar, and I built SlapScroll because I kept watching reels on my MacBook while eating - with greasy fingers hovering over the trackpad.
It turns out every Apple Silicon MacBook has an accelerometer that almost nothing uses. SlapScroll reads it at ~800 Hz, filters out slow movement and typing, and when it feels a sharp tap on the case (or on the desk next to it), it skips to the next video in your browser.
It's free. I'd love to hear: which site should I support next, and what's the weirdest place you managed to trigger it from? 🙂

Who hunted SlapScroll?
SlapScroll was hunted by Oskar Minor. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
