I built SlapDash on a weekend after a 3-hour debugging session left me staring at my MacBook wanting to scream at it. So I thought… what if it could scream back?
SlapDash is a tiny menu bar app that listens for slaps via your MacBook's built-in accelerometer. Slap your laptop, it screams. That's the entire app. No accounts, no analytics, no data leaves your Mac — it just screams when you hit it.
A few things to know:
🖐️ Adjustable sensitivity so it doesn't trigger from regular typing
🔊 Random sound packs (and you can drop in your own MP3s)
⏱️ Custom cooldown so it doesn't go off back-to-back
💻 macOS 14.6+ on M1 Pro or later (needs the accelerometer)
