Hey Product Hunt — I'm Joe, and I built SkimGuard because the standard advice on card skimmers is essentially "look carefully and hope." Wireless skimmers give themselves away: they sit idle advertising over Bluetooth between customers while they wait to transmit what they've captured. SkimGuard listens for those signatures and shows you what was found at a pump, ATM, or card terminal — and how recently anyone last checked — before you swipe. Two things I want to be straight about up front. It's decision support, not a guarantee. It improves your odds of catching a device early, but no app can promise a terminal is clean, and it only finds skimmers that transmit — a purely mechanical overlay has no signal to detect. And the consumer app is free in the real sense: no ads, no tracking SDKs, no subscription, no account needed. Scans that resolve to a home address stay in your own history and never reach the public map. The business side is what pays for it, not you. Coverage grows as people scan, so it's strongest where it's already been used — if it's thin where you are, tell me and I'll know where to push.
