Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Elias, and I build web and mobile apps with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor every day. Over the last months my skills folders kept growing. I’d add skills from marketplaces, plugins and copy-paste, and then forget about them. When an author shipped a better version, nothing told me. When I did update by hand, I was overwriting folders my agents depend on, with no backup and no way back. So I built Skillly, a small Mac app that: 🔍 finds the skills Claude Code, Codex and Cursor use on your Mac 🕐 checks once a day which ones have a newer version (it only contacts github.com) ✅ shows you exactly which folders will change, from which version to which, before touching anything ↩️ backs everything up first, verifies each update, and gives you one-click Undo Under the hood it runs on a Rust engine I’ve been working on for a while. If Skillly can’t prove which version a skill came from, it won’t update it. I’d rather skip a skill than silently overwrite someone’s local changes. It’s $5, lifetime, per Mac. No subscription. You can try the real app right on the homepage: skillly.app (the demo runs on fake data). I’d love your feedback, especially: which other agents or skill sources I should support next what would make you trust a tool that writes to your agents’ folders Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Who hunted Skillly?

Skillly was hunted by Elias Ripari. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
