The idea came from a problem we kept running into while building AI applications. Every new project seemed to start with the same cycle: writing prompts from scratch, copying instructions between projects, tweaking them for different models, and trying to keep everything organized. Over time, prompt libraries became difficult to maintain, reuse, and collaborate on.
We started asking ourselves:
What if AI capabilities could be managed like reusable building blocks instead of scattered prompts?
That question became the foundation of SkillForge.
SkillForge lets developers create, organize, and reuse AI skills so they can build AI applications faster and more consistently. Instead of rewriting prompts every time, you can maintain a growing library of reusable skills that evolve alongside your projects.
During development, our focus shifted from simply building a prompt manager to creating something more structured and developer-friendly. We wanted SkillForge to fit naturally into modern AI workflows while remaining flexible enough to work with different models and use cases.
SkillForge is open source, and this launch is only the beginning.
