I'm a solo developer, and I kept hitting the same wall: I'd remember a great web tool existed but couldn't recall its name, and my bookmarks were a graveyard. Google mostly gave me SEO spam.
So I built Sitedex — a directory of the web's genuinely useful sites, organized by what you're actually trying to do. Every site is hand-picked and sorted by category, so you can find the right tool in seconds. You can browse what's new, what's popular, search across 290+ sites, and submit ones you love.
It's free, no login, and works in 5 languages. Built solo with Astro and Cloudflare, with a lot of help from Claude along the way.

The search actually works well, found a couple design tools I'd forgotten about. Nice that I can suggest sites too, gives it more of a community feel than most directories.
finally a directory that doesn't feel like it was scraped from 2009, the AI section alone is worth bookmarking and the no sign-up thing is a nice change of pace.
