Chrome extension that adds command bar and advanced keyboard shortcuts to Gmail. Snooze with natural language, navigate to folders, one click unsubscribe, select multiple emails - and everything else that is needed to make you superhuman in Gmail.
Hey PH.
This could be a controversial post. But hear me out -
I started using Superhuman in 2018, and loved it. I paid $30/mo for over 2 years and then found myself on a career break and couldn't afford (or need) the app anymore.
When I got back to work, I missed Superhuman so much and no other email app came close (truly a fantastic product!). I listed down the top features I badly wanted and just built it over a few weekends with a friend. The first version worked great.
Turned out, other people also wanted it. And loved it. Enough that they started paying it. I didn't think this app deserved a PH launch as it solved a niche use case. But when I have the CEO of a top 10 website in the world signing up, I realised it wasn't as small.
Here is a quick product video showing you how to use the extension in your own Gmail account https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_0GNn3oAP4.
The app is free to install and there is a 2 week trial included.
I'm a single person team, using AI to build both product and marketing. I am now looking to grow the user base of Simplehuman. If you have any ideas on how to scale a "alternative to" product like this, I'm open to hearing you on how you'd solve it.
For Producthunt users, the app has $30 off on lifetime plans until the end of the week. Hope you like it.
Hey congratulations on the launch. Would you like to share how do you use cursor to build websites and integrate AI?
This is awesome! Congratulations on the launch @phalgun_g!
I recommend Simplehuman to anyone who wants to make using Gmail faster and more convenient! This Chrome extension adds a command bar and advanced keyboard shortcuts, making your email experience incredibly efficient. You can snooze emails using natural language, quickly jump to folders, cancel subscriptions in one click, and much more. Thanks to Simplehuman, Gmail becomes much more convenient and powerful, as if you are becoming the superhero of your mail.
What metrics or user behavior patterns did you use to determine which keyboard shortcuts would provide the most value and efficiency gains for Gmail users?
Have you considered integrating with Gmail's existing keyboard shortcuts, or does Simplehuman create an entirely new shortcut system that users need to learn from scratch?
Sound super interesting! Anything that makes email less dreadful is welcome in this world 🚀 ❤️
Awesome work @phalgun_g ! Love the simplicity and the quality of execution by yourself.
Dope @phalgun_g ! This is a great example of scratching your own itch and turning it into something valuable for others. The fact that high-profile users are signing up proves there's demand.
And for scaling, tapping into communities where Superhuman users hang out (especially Twitter, productivity forums in reddit) could work well. Excited to see where you take this!
Sending you lots of wins :)
This is a fantastic product for gmail power users, redefines the way we would use gmail forever. you can configure most of the shortcuts without an app or an extension on gmail but this is a starter template with clear instructions on what shortcuts to use when. If you can't find something, just start from the command bar :)
Good job @phalgun_g
This is why I love Product Hunt! Seeing something so useful is inspiring. Excited to give Simplehuman a try—wishing you all the best.
Having used Superhuman myself, I know how addictive those features can be. This extension that brings the best of Superhuman back into Gmail feels like a real lifesaver.
Incredible story! The best products are born from real pain points, and you nailed it with Simplehuman. Wishing you success in growing the user base—this deserves to scale!
