I built SilicaAI because I wanted AI that felt like a real Mac app — not a browser tab — and I didn't want my chats, files, and voice notes living on someone else's servers by default.
Most local AI tools stop at "run a model." Silica is a full workspace: chat, voice transcription, image generation, agents, and presentations, all on your Mac. Private by default. No account required to use the core app.
It's been in closed beta for a while — we've polished the UI, shipped updates via the website, and a few early users have already found us organically. Today I'm sharing it more widely.
