Vote on what the world is sick of. See the fun facts.
Hi PH,
I kept noticing that "ugh, I'm so sick of X" is the most universal sentence humans say, yet nobody was counting. So, I built sickof.net.
You post a short thing you're sick of ("Sick of Mondays"). It becomes a permanent page with live vote charts and anonymous slices by country, time of day, device, browser, and origin. Crossing the slices gets fun. The kind of thing the data surfaces includes:
- Most of the people sick of Android voted from an iPhone.
- Half the people sick of Twitter got here from Twitter.
- "Sick of Mondays" gets most of its votes on a Monday.
- "Sick of tipping culture" is, by country, almost entirely American.
- "Sick of pineapple pizza" is the most evenly split post on the site: basically 50/50.
- Safari users are, disproportionately, the ones sick of Chrome.
Everything aggregate is anonymized (buckets of 5+, no individual vote ever attributed, no raw IP or raw UA stored). Reading is open; voting asks for a Google sign-in so the counts mean something.
Prefer to lurk? RSS at sickof.net/rss.xml.
So: what are you sick of? I'll read the data with you all day.
