Hey everyone, I'm Karim and I built ShredMeta.
The idea came from seeing how much hidden information can be left inside files without people realising it. Photos can contain your location and device details. PDFs and Office documents can include author names, software information, timestamps, and other metadata.
I wanted to build something that makes it easy to check what a file contains before you share it. Upload a file, inspect the metadata, remove what you do not want, and download a cleaned copy.
Privacy was the main focus while building it. Files are processed securely and deleted after processing, so they are not stored.
This is an early version, so I would really appreciate any feedback, bug reports, or ideas for new features. Thanks for checking it out!
