I built Shredder because one of the biggest problems I’ve faced as a skier is finding other people to ride with who match my skill level. Skiing and snowboarding are social sports, but it’s not always easy to connect with the right people.
Shredder solves this by tracking your riding stats like speed, distance, vertical, and then it uses that data to match you with riders at your level. On top of that, you can share stats, plan events, coordinate carpooling, and build a community with other snow enthusiasts.

I recommend the Shredder app to all lovers of alpine skiing and snowboarding! It's like Tinder, but for riders. The app tracks your metrics such as speed, distance and vertical, and helps you find the right riding partners based on your level

Some insights from a free ride snowboarder based in Europe/Alps. 1) Freeriders need company for safety reasons (avalanches, injuries). 2) the company needs to be qualified (have proper training and equipment). 3) Since its all about powder riding, decision where to go are based on weather forecasts and are done mostly less than a week before departure - so powder alerts would be very useful.
The idea of connecting with riders who have similar abilities is fantastic. This could totally change the way I approach skiing trips.
Love the name, love the colours - Guess this is the sign I needed to finally take up Snowboarding although probably need to move somewhere where there is snow to begin with...

Does the app focus on any specific regions to start with? Skiing and snowboarding are often geographically dependent, so I’m curious if it’s designed for certain areas initially.
Just a fun observation: among my female skiing friends, there’s a common joke about ski guys having a reputation for being a bit too charming—how does the app ensure it fosters a respectful and inclusive community?
