Hunted byChristoph PlankenChristoph Planken

Browser-based screen sharing over WebRTC. No downloads, no installs. Viewers need no account — just a link. Start a session, copy the invite link, they open it and see your screen. Peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted. Nothing stored on any server. Built because Teams screen sharing was too blurry for pair programming. A whole second app just for one feature. So I built a fix. Free during Early Access.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Christoph, the solo developer behind Sharry. Here's the honest version of why this exists: At my day job, our team did a lot of pair programming. Teams screen sharing was consistently too blurry to read code comfortably. Not buffering — just blurry. Most video tools compress for motion (faces, gestures), not static detail. That's the wrong trade-off for code review. Our workaround: keep a Discord tab open, use that for screen shares. A whole second app just for one feature that should be built in. That annoyed me enough to build a dedicated fix. Sharry is browser-based screen sharing over WebRTC — peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted. Viewers don't need an account, an install, or a download. They open a link. That's it. A few honest caveats up front: — No TURN server yet, so P2P connection can fail on very restrictive corporate/hotel networks — Free plan has a 5-minute session limit and 1 viewer — Pro is free during Early Access (no credit card needed) — I'm a solo dev, so "roadmap" really means "list of things I'm working through in my limited time" Would genuinely love feedback on: — Whether the link-based join flow actually feels frictionless for a first-time viewer — Use cases you'd reach for this for that I haven't thought of — What's missing that would make you pay for it eventually Thanks for checking it out — sharry.live if you want to try it right now.

Who hunted Sharry?

Sharry was hunted by Christoph Planken. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
