Hi PH,
I built this because I kept wanting to make calls more visual. Sketching
an idea, drawing out an architecture in real-time rather etc... The only way I could find was to do the "QuickTime dance": open it, pick the iPad, share the recording window, then redo it all on the next call.
SharePad lives in your menu bar. Plug your iPad into your Mac over USB and a clean
A full-size mirrored window appears ready to share in any call.
Two things I cared about:
First, it's private: nothing leaves your Mac, with no
account, no tracking, and the only network call being the update check.
Second, it's open: GPLv3, so you can read it or build it yourself. The signed, notarised
build is GBP 6.99 once with a 7-day free trial and no card. That's what funds it.
Would love to hear what calls you'd use it for, and any feedback.

Who hunted SharePad?
SharePad was hunted by Jon Yardley. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
