Hey Product Hunt 👋
Every charting library I've used gives you the shape — a line, some bars — and leaves you to build the rest: the loading/empty/error states, the domain math, and the one sentence that tells a reader what the chart actually means. I rebuilt that "rest" once too often, so I packaged it.
Sextant is 60+ chart widgets for shadcn/ui. Each one is a whole widget:
Production states in a single wrapper — skeletons that match the chart's shape, intentional empty states, error/stale handling.
A deterministic narrative — "14 months of runway," "NRR 112%," computed in pure TypeScript. No LLM, no API key, nothing to hallucinate.
A visual Studio — click any element, tweak it, copy the JSX.
A Zod data contract so bad data fails at the boundary, not in prod.
It installs exactly like a shadcn component (npx shadcn add @sextant/...), inherits your theme tokens, and is WCAG AA. There's also an MCP server so coding agents can search, inspect, and install widgets directly.
