Settle Up Golf is the easiest way to track bets and settle up after a round with your buddies. Pick from 10+ formats — Nassau, Skins, Wolf, Match Play, Stableford, Best Ball, and more — set your stakes, and the app handles every press, carryover, and payout automatically. No more napkin math at the 19th hole. Built by an indie dev who got tired of arguing over Nassau payouts. Free on iOS, Android, and web. One-tap Venmo settlement built in.
This started with a problem every group of golf buddies knows. My friends and I have a standing weekly game with a Nassau, presses, skins, and the occasional Wolf. And every round ended the same way — we'd get to the locker room or the bar and nobody actually felt like adding up the scores. If we were in a multi-group game, it was even worse: someone yelling out the low score on each hole, trying to figure out who got a skin, while everyone else just wanted to order a beer. Most of us ended up at "just tell me what I owe."
I looked for an app that just *handled this*. The closest options all had the same problems: the basics were free but the bet formats you actually need were locked behind a paywall, the UIs were slow and clunky, and entering a score took way too many taps. None of them felt built by someone who actually plays money golf with their friends.
So I spent about five weeks of nights and weekends building one. A few things I tried to get right:
- **Speed.** The app is fast. No loading spinners between holes. - **Scoring without the keyboard popup.** Tap to enter scores — no number pad sliding up, no extra confirm step. You can score a hole in under a second. - **What you need, up front.** The current bet, the running total, who's up — visible on every screen. No drilling into menus to remember what you're playing for. - **Real bet formats out of the gate.** Nassau, Skins, Wolf, Match Play, Stroke, Stableford, Best Ball, and more — all included, all configurable. - **Auto-everything.** Presses, carryovers, payouts — handled automatically. The app finishes with a one-tap Venmo deep-link so the loser actually pays up before he forgets.
A few things I'd love feedback on: - If you play money golf — what bet formats do I still need to add? - Anything in the onboarding or scoring flow that felt clunky? - What would make this a no-brainer to use every round?
Free on iOS, Android, and web. No ads, no signup wall to try it. Subscription unlocks the season tracking stuff.
