Session Viewer
Claude and Codex transcripts into a calm, searchable reading
Session Viewer turns the Claude Code and Codex transcripts already on your machine into a calm, searchable reading experience. Browse decisions, recover an implementation detail, compare approaches, and export the useful parts — all without uploading your conversations to a third party.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I kept losing good context in terminal scrollback. The reasoning behind a decision, the alternative we rejected, the exact prompt that finally worked - all of it sitting in JSONL files I'd never open again.
Session Viewer turns the Claude Code and Codex transcripts already on your machine into something you'd actually want to read: filter by project, copy resume command, organize chats, continue on mobile via scanning qr code, prose-first transcripts with tool calls tucked into expandable cards, search across your whole archive, split view to compare two sessions side by side, stars/tags/notes on the ones worth keeping, and Markdown export.
It's one python3 serve.py away. No dependencies, no account, no telemetry, binds to loopback only - your transcripts never leave your machine. MIT licensed.
I'd love to know: when you go back to an old AI coding session, what are you usually looking for? That's what I want to make fast next.
