Sero is a prep-first 1:1 tool for busy managers. Add a few notes and it brings forward what changed, what is unresolved, and the questions worth asking next. Unlike meeting bots and HR suites, it helps you arrive prepared and leave with clear actions.
Hey Product Hunt ... I’m Carl, the person behind Sero.
I’ve managed people for around 16 years. I care about my team, take notes, and still know the feeling of opening a 1:1 while trying to remember what we agreed last time.
The notes existed. They just weren’t in my head when I needed them.
In a survey of 86 people, the same needs kept appearing: clearer agendas, better follow-through, and clearer next steps.
So I built Sero. It’s a small, prep-first tool that helps a manager see what changed, what is still open, and what might be worth asking before the conversation starts.
It isn’t an HR platform or another meeting recorder. The goal is much narrower: help busy managers arrive prepared and leave knowing what happens next.
Sero is still early, and I’m here for honest feedback. If you manage people, I’d genuinely like to know:
What do you most often lose between one 1:1 and the next — context, commitments, or the right question to ask?

Who hunted Sero?
Sero was hunted by Carl Heaton. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
