Hi Product Hunt, I'm Vimarsah and I built Senapati.
Every time an IP or domain gets blocked somewhere, the answer to "why?" is scattered across dozens of blacklists and DNS RBLs, each with its own format and lookup rules. I wanted one API call that checks all of them and tells me which one flagged the address, not just a score.
So Senapati fans each lookup out to public blacklist feeds, DNS RBLs and a few in-house checks, and returns a verdict per engine. IP lookups also come back with geolocation, ASN and whether the address is a proxy, VPN, Tor exit or hosting provider. Domain, URL and email checks follow the same pattern. It also keeps a listing history, so you can see when an indicator was first and last flagged.
A few things I cared about:
- You only pay for answers. A failed or rate-limited lookup never touches your balance.
- Every tool works free with no sign-up, so you can see the output before you register.
- The API has a free plan, and paid prices include tax. The number on the pricing page is what you're charged.
