Seven trackers for seven parts of your life, abandoned by day three. Selfbased replaces all of them. Quests feed your stats, stats feed your ranks, and every action earns XP and coins. Everything connects into one ecosystem instead of a folder of features. The AI breaks any goal into daily quests you'll actually finish, and the whole loop is built to respect your time rather than steal it.

Top comment

Hello Product hunt, my name's Khalil, the 18-year-old solo founder behind Selfbased.
Fun story: I lasted exactly two weeks in CEGEP (college) before realizing traditional schooling wasn't for me. I dropped out, locked myself in my room, and built Selfbased for under $500.

Why I built it:

I built Selfbased because every time I tried to actually improve my life, I spent more time managing the tools than doing the work. Hydration in one app, budgeting in another, focus somewhere else, fitness in a fourth. Seven apps for seven parts of one life, and I'd abandon most of them by day three.

The weird part is that they all share the same underlying goal, improving yourself, but none of them talk to each other. So you become the integration layer. You stitch yourself together across seven dashboards and call it a system.

That felt backwards to me.

What Selfbased is:
Selfbased is a gamified interface for self-improvement. It turns your whole life into one ranked RPG instead of a folder of apps you forget about.
It runs on seven life stats: Health, Physical, Recovery, Mastery, Wealth, Appearance, and Bond. Everything connects:

every action earns XP and coins, and feeds the stat it belongs to
stats feed your rank, so you always know exactly where you stand and what the next tier costs there's a built-in tool for each life area, so nothing has to live in another app
a reward shop lets you spend coins on rewards.

the whole loop is built for short check-ins, modeled on the gaming daily-commission feel, so it gives your attention back instead of taking your time.

What I believe:

The best self-improvement product won't be another checklist with a game skin on top, and it won't be another app fighting for your screen time.

It'll be the system underneath. Something that tracks progress across every part of your real life and makes you actually want to come back. The progression can't be decoration bolted onto the side. It has to be the architecture.

Where I'm at:

The AI planning layer that turns big goals into daily quests is built but switched off for now, since it needs API funding and proper testing before I put it in people's hands. So what you're seeing today is the full system minus the auto-scheduling. That's the next thing coming on.

I'm pre-revenue, and the honest bottleneck right now is distribution, not the product.

So I'd rather get this in front of real people than run a discount I can't afford.

Pricing:

There's a free version, and the basic paid plan sits at $10/mo. No special launch offer, because I'd rather keep the price low for everyone than do a temporary thing I'd have to walk back later.

I'd love feedback on:

where the loop feels genuinely fun versus where it feels like a chore
whether the seven stats map cleanly to how you actually think about your life
which life area you'd want a deeper tool for next

Thanks for taking a look at it!

Who hunted Selfbased?

Selfbased was hunted by Khalil Ayari. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
