I'm the solo developer behind Self Log.
I built Self Log because I couldn't find a tracker that matched what I was looking for. Most habit trackers focus on streaks, AI-generated insights, or cloud synchronization. I wanted something different.
The three principles that guided the development were:
- Analysis over AI: Instead of AI-generated insights, Self Log uses statistics, hypothesis testing, correlations, and mathematical models to help you explore your own data.
- Consistency matters: I have ADHD, and consistently tracking data has always been difficult for me. I designed the reminder system to keep me accountable without adding unnecessary friction or extra steps.
- Privacy first: Everything stays on your device. No account, no cloud, and no tracking.
Rather than forcing a predefined workflow, Self Log lets you create your own questionnaires and events, making it flexible enough for almost any type of tracking.
