Seed is a vocabulary learning app built around one idea: make you actually want to come back tomorrow. Every word you learn becomes a collectible card with a rarity tier and a unique discovery number showing how early you found it. An AI builds a personalized vocabulary map based on your level and goals — no need to create word lists first. Words have health that decays over time, bringing them back for review before you forget. Grow a collection that's genuinely yours. Feedback welcome!

At the end of last year, as an international student in the Netherlands, I wanted to learn some Dutch. I quickly understood the main thing is words; same problem I have with English, where I sometimes can't say what I want just because of poor vocabulary. But there are no apps that help you learn words in a way that makes you actually want to come back the next day. The most popular one is Anki, and honestly it feels boring for me, same type of task every day, nothing new when you return on day 2, day 3, and so on. So I decided to build something where the user actually wants to go back. My main idea is the word collection. In my app you don't just learn words, because every word you learn becomes a unique card. The rarity of each card is rolled randomly per person, with a random background icon and a unique discovery number: the earlier in the world you learn a word, the smaller your number, and it stays on your card forever. On top of that I built a system of chests and rewards, so each day you open the app not only to study but also to play a bit — open chests, buy items, complete daily quests and so on. The second problem I had with Anki and similar apps: when you don't have a specific word list or goal, you can't even start. You need to define your lists first. In my app you can still import your own list (it gets sorted by topics and shown as a map), but you don't have to — the AI generates a vocabulary map for you based on your level and your priorities, so the words are already suggested and you just learn. There's also a health system with decay: learned words lose health over time and come back for review before you forget them, so old words don't just silently disappear from your memory.
